I dont believe they use flour in anything except maybe the cornbread.
Yummy
Staff is rude. Food is average.
Bbq was great!
Pretty bland seasoning. Sides were disappointing in flavor as well. Meat was tender and the staff were very pleasant, though.
Their spread brisket is the best. Had a large group coming into town went by grabbed a couple pounds for sandwiches. Plenty for everyone delicious as always. Fast friendly service
Down-to-earth true homemade BBQ. Screen door nostalgia and tasty food. Step back in time and enjoy a wifi-free (as opposed to free wifi) zone.
Great Food And Cozy Atmosphere
The food was very good and the service was good but the prices are pretty steep.
I've been coming here since I was a youngin and I took my wife here the other day an she wants to go again because it's just the best family friendly restaurant
While walking into the restaurant my grandmother tripped on the uneven floor. The staff looked and laughed as we hurried to help her up. I mentioned maybe they should add a sign and was ignored. Decided to leave immediately because the staff was so rude.
The Worst, driest ribs,.... almost jerky, seriously. Incomplete order....Way way over priced. Will never eat from this place again. No wonder no one else was eating there.
There's a reason this place has a ~2.9 star rating. The food is average on a good day. Brisket often lacks any real smokiness or bark. Beans are sometimes undercooked and too firm. Sauce is a pretty bland, run of the mill sort of thing. If you're looking for a quick chopped beef sandwich, that is the only thing I can recommend from here. Customer service is often consistent with what other negative reviews have claimed. Overall, I'm baffled that this place has been around for so long, and it seems ownership has become totally complacent with mediocrity in all elements of the business. Go to Tyler's instead if you want some good BBQ.
7.25 for a biscuit size sandwich. Way too expensive.Hot link was ok but not enough for that price. Brisket was horrible. Now I know why no one eats there.
Pretty decent barbeque and friendly staff!
The food was pretty good, but the staff made my experience horrible. The cashier was wearing a filthy Tshirt and volleyball shorts, and was scowling the entire time. Extremely rude. Also the lady that brought my food literally threw it on the table and walked away. I will not be coming back.
This place has a great breakfast! Nice and clean and tasty as hell.
Excellent as usual
Hours are so inconsistent you never know if they're actually open.
Food needs more seasoning and flavor. Though the loaded baked potatoes was a meal in and of itself. Service while friendly left something to be desired. You do get a decent amount of food for the money.
The burger was VERY disappointing :/ i honestly kinda feel ripped off and I recomend going to a fast food joint before here for burgers. I have not tried the BBQ yet but I will give it a try as soon as i can and update then on my overall opinion.
The best breakfast burritos on the planet
Horrible food all the way around... should be closed
When Amarillo has so many BBQ choices, I prefer a couple other locations
Good food and great service. Delicious potato salad and brisket.
Just okay.
Fantastic ribs and sausage. I like the brisket and hot link sandwich. Ribs are probably the biggest in the city.
Food is amazing for a family own business and the service is amazing.
It says open till 4pm, 149 pm and there closed???
Food good. Staff why giving a 1. The manager treats you like you a pain for ordering food. NOT FRIENDLY! AND DIDNT EVEN LOOK AT ME TO TALK! WILL NOT RETURN FOR SERVICE LIKE THAT.
now that's some damn good barbecue
Great bar-b-que and fresh cut french fries!Friendly service. Their ribs are excellent!Eat in or take home. I've had their beef, sausage, hot links and ribs. All are terrific!
Did not try the food, so I can't attest to that part! My fiance loves them, but I walked in and turned around and walked right back out. Unfortunately, they do not have AC. I think they had a swamp aka water cooler as it felt very sticky inside. Place looked spacious and clean... however no AC was a deal breaker for me.
The food I received. Was horrible. Would not feed the polish sausage. To my dog it was dry and disgusting. Called the manager Tina she act as though she could careless no apologies. Or nothing will not go in there again no wonder when you drive by the business looks closed
The rib was good, as was the brisket. Service was okay and quick. The beans were tasteless and just wasn't a fan of the sausage, corn bread, or the potato salad.
Great bbq. The chopped brisket is tender. Try the cowboy style frito pie. The workers are so friendly and give a cheerful service. We have eaten here for years and always bring out of towners here.
I had the BBQ chopped beef for lunch and thought it was good. This is a small Mom and Pop restaurant so it’s a little rustic inside. There are 10 or so tables for in house seating. I plan on returning.
Great food, large portions and good price
very dry tasteless beans were way to salty
Really good food just a little expensive
It cost too much
The esthetic of the place it's not much, but man! The food is gooood!!! I really enjoy everything I order.
Good BBQ!
